JOB TITLE:
Part-time Groundskeeper
JOB OVERVIEW
The groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the Village of Bartonville Parks grounds including the clubhouse.
REPORTS TO:
Village of Bartonville Parks & Recreation Committee Chair, Public Works Supervisor, & Mayor of Bartonville
SALARY:
$15/hour
WORKING HOURS:
20 hours a week April, May, June, July, August, September, October
5 hours a week January, February, March, November, December
**Trash removal Mondays, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
**Locks and unlocks clubhouse for parties and events
QUALIFICATIONS
● Must be 18 years or older
● High School diploma
● Must have valid driver’s license
● Must pass background check
● Must complete any trainings or certifications necessary for the position
● Must be a self-starter
● Must have strong aptitude for finding & organizing work, and follow through with minimal supervision
● Experience with outdoor lawn tools and mowing equipment
● Strong desire to keep parks beautiful and well maintained
● Flexible schedule
● Able to lift 50#
● Physically agile and dexterous
● Must pass drug and alcohol screening at hire and random tests thereafter
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
● Landscaping, routine grounds maintenance such as planting, weeding, mowing, watering, mulching and other general grounds maintenance; some mowing.
● Keeping grounds free from trash, litter, and debris, and emptying trash receptacles
● Cleans clubhouse on a regular basis and after events
● Responsible for locking and unlocking clubhouse building for parties & events
● Performs other duties as assigned
