Police Department

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Bartonville Police Department will be making some changes in how calls are handled.  Effective immediately if the call can be handled over the phone the dispatcher will obtain your information and advise you that the officer will be calling you back to take the report or answer questions. If you call with a medical emergency, be patient and answer the dispatcher’s questions.  Please know help is already on the way as they continue with questions.  These questions allow the gathering of additional information to provide to responder’s for yours and their safety. When police or fire arrive on scene know they will be keeping a six-foot distance if possible, again this is for everyone’s safety to help reduce the spreading of germs.
The situation is changing, and we will do our best to keep this updated as changes take place. Wash your hands and maintain a six-foot radius from others if possible.  The change is out of caution and to help limit potential exposures and the spread of germs.
