Starting on September 21, 2020 Ameren Illinois will begin excavations of their 24 inch gas line in the road in front of their station on Lafayette by the VFW. Because of the extensive digging and work to be done, they will need to close the road to access during the work. Electronic signs in each direction will be put up to let residents know that the closure will begin. Taylor Lane and Lafayette will also be closed.
Flaring the gas line will begin Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
