ARTICLE II. STRUCTURE NUMBERING
Sec. 18-29. Specifications.
(a) Number style and size. All commercial, business, residential, and other structures in the Village will be numbered in block numbers not less four inches in height. While numbers may be spelled out in words, in accordance with the height dimensions stated, preference is given to actual numbers.
(b) Location; visibility. In addition, each figure shall be legible and placed in a conspicuous position on the front side or above the front door of every structure. All numbers shall be visibly located on the structure.
(c) Other stationary structures. Posting of numbers on other stationary structures, such as mailboxes, pillars, or planters located on the property, does not relieve the owner or occupant of the duty to post numbers on the commercial, business, or residential structure itself, as required by this Article.

Sec. 18-30. Penalties; continuing violation.
As an exception to the penalties set forth in Section 18-2, the owner or occupant of any structure now erected or which may hereafter be erected that fronts on any of the streets of the Village who fails to number the structure or to maintain the number on the structure in conformity with the provisions of this Article, after notification by the Village, shall be in violation of this Article and subject to a fine of not less than $25.00 and not more than $750.00 for each offense. Each day that a violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
